Romantically Barbecued.

Pick a route through the valley walls
Earth mauve, skies salmon
Underwater breathing.
A route to happiness,
And through the eyes, optometrist fondness and optometrist kindness .
In times of blossom,
Paint a happy picture, pick a route as such, through the blossom, inside the stars, between the ears.

  1. Oh, I like the line about optometry. The second to last line has a really nice way of flowing as well. How you manage to post so much amazes me, especially when it's actually all good stuff.

Yeah, I know what you mean about Kerouac. I need to read some more of his stuff, I'm kind of fascinated by the whole beat movement at the moment.

  2. I've only read On the Road by Kerouac, no idea why I haven't read more yet, but I've read loads of Bukowski. Have you heard/read Howl by Allen Ginsberg? I wish I could write something like that.

  3. Yeah, I've only read On The Road too. Nah, I haven't, but I've just bought it with a load more Kerouac and Burroughs. I've heard only good things about Ginsberg. I'm a big Ezra Pound fan, but I can't write imagist style poems for shit.
